I write about the places where spirituality, trauma, culture, and the human heart meet.
For more than three decades, I have explored Tibetan Buddhism, contemplative practice, psychology, somatics, and the complicated relationship between healing and the communities we trust to guide us. I have also learned, sometimes painfully, that a spiritual path can be both profoundly meaningful and deeply human, and that questioning a tradition does not necessarily mean abandoning it.
My writing comes from lived experience. I write about religious trauma, spiritual abuse, power, women’s voices, ethical communities, survivor advocacy, and the difficult process of finding ourselves again after institutions, teachers, or belief systems have failed us. I am interested in what happens when devotion meets power, when silence is mistaken for compassion, and when people are asked to surrender their own discernment in the name of faith.

I believe spirituality should make us more human, not less. It should leave room for questions, boundaries, accountability, compassion, and the freedom to say no. Healthy communities should not require people to silence their experiences in order to belong.
This is a space for honest inquiry. It is a place for examining what we have inherited, questioning what no longer serves us, and finding ways to preserve what is beautiful while having the courage to change what causes harm.
I write because silence has a cost.
I write because survivors deserve to be heard.
I write because spiritual traditions are not beyond examination.
Most of all, I write because I believe we can create something better.
